Model competition

At first glance, this year seems rather quiet on the contest front. The number of models shown on the tables are not quite staggering, but in reallity, there are also numbers of entries not being shown. The total number of works submitted was actually exceeding 1,000!

The competition broke into 2 category. Gunpla contest and everything else falls into the Non-Genre. Let's take a look at some of the more interesting ones. Click on the picture to see large version.

Non-Genre Contest

There are quite a lot of non-genre entries, but I was just too obsessed with Gundam (as if you don't know that already), so I didn't get to take too much photos of this category. Here's the few that I have...

 

Hmmm, This baby looks familiar...

 

Xabungle. The shadow is painted onto the base. Neat idea.

 

Whoaa, a ships galore!

 

1st place winner: Gamera diorama.

 

Here's my favorite. Very intriging design. The finishing looks very authenthic as well.
