I'm really starting to get tired of this GM Command kit. This is the 4th one I did already! (and there's still one more to go). For the conversion part, the kit comes considerably less parts than GM Sniper conversion. Instead B-Club decided to throw in a white metal Zaku's heathawk in it, so it ended up costing more than the Sniper's. I wasn't too keen on the old style backpack, anymore. What I do here is use one that copied from GM Kai in its place, as well as the cockpit hatch. This will help even out the design gap when it comes time I finish the GM Kai. |
As per instruction of the conversion kit, cables are inserted inside the back of knee joint. I use a string taken from a drafting table's T-slide for this... of all thing. As if to hint that I'll never going back to be an architect again....
Comparing the unmodified version of skirt on the left, and on the right with 4mm of spacer added. The thruster is adapted from a Kotobukiya's minus mold (ridded off the 'minus' part). Like, the GM Sniper II, I added 1mm to the torso for a better proportion.

Here's the shot of the chest implanted using polyester putty.

Here I goofed off a little, and slightly reshape a copy (the blue one) of the head. I think I'll use it for either normal GM or GM II project, should I decide to build one.
