1) I first primed all the parts with primer spray. Lightly sand the whole thing with a very fine grid of sand paper. |

2) Then I covered everything in flat white in order to prevent the gray of the primer to dull the base-coat of red. |

3) This is how I do the pre-shadowed. Considering the finish color is red, I decided on a sepia shading on this occasion. Note that doing shading this way will give a very high contrast. |

4) For the head, I used dark gray+flat black, before a coat of white is to cover. This technique, popularized by Max Watanabe, is generally referred to as Max technique. |

6) The finish product. I did some overspray to even out the contrast in the end, giving a more subtle feel. |
