Another fullscratch work by Ken Chan.

Sometime during 1999 Ken asked me for the use of my sketch as a basis for his new project, as he was just finished his last one and looking to start something. Of course I gave a very enthusiastically yes. We got to meet during JAF-CON of 99, and he was nice enough to bring the then in-progress work pile all the way from Hong Kong just to let me see and commented on some of the spots! Working at his pace, the model finallyl finished in the middle of 2000. And yours truly got a exclusive copy of most of the crucial parts as a memento as well. :)

The procedures were identical to building the Zodiack. Main body was made out of polyester putty and plastic tube. As usual, the detailing come from many spare tank/armor parts. The spherical shoulder blocks, curiously enough, were from HGUC Gyan kit which happens to come in perfect size (well, it's either that or he managed to build the whole thing around the size of those 2!).

A compilations of the progress pictures Ken's been sending me while making it over the year is here. The model has since been featured in Hong Kong's World Club magazine issue# 118.

If you have any comments regarding his work, Ken would like to hear it. Drop him a line at ama100@hongkong.com
