Incidentally, prior to doing all the full scratch parts, a blueprint of every single parts needed to be mapped out. |

Painting Light grey is used as the base color and deeper grey on top (usually, I like to add a few drops of blue into the base color). Recently there is a lot of rainy days in Asia. It affacts the painting very much, the gloss colour will turn to be flat due to the hight moisture (over 80%). In this case, you can either stay in an air conditioned room to do your painting work, or use a hair dryer to help you. The way I chosed is the hair dryer. After you finished all the different base colors (if the high moisture turn the semi-gloss colour to be flat) then spay the thinner (Gunze model thinner) on the surface of the kit parts, and then use the dryer to brow the surface before the thinner dried. So a semi-gloss surface will come out again. The panel lines were fill with Tamiya dark grey (I am not sure to express this part in English), since it can be washed by Tamiya thinner but will not damage the Gunze base color. |
