Model pages

Hiroaki Fukuda's Sports and Race Car Modeling Page
Mr. Fukuda's one hell of a modeler! In fact, his page is so inspiring, it had me get off my ass and start this page! Can't wait till his mecha models page is back on-line.

Gunpapa's "Gunpla Daisuki" is one of the first gunpla page out there. The gallery is contributed by various modelers. And the CGs are among some of the most creative, too.

Yuji "JAM" Konno's premeire Gunpla web site. Featuring both his own works, and a gallery of "competitions" by many contributors. Jam's CG works have graced the page of Hobby Japan and Bandai's box art.

On top of being an awesome graphic designer, Jam's also a good friend and super nice person. Therefore, Gundam models get a major 2 thumbs up here. :D

Take a look at 'A Crimson Mercenary' ,Shiroh Murasame's Gundam and Gunpla (among many other things) homepage. Check out his many collection of Gundam kits including lots of garage kits. Large and growing gallery of both himself and friends.

Votoms fans should definitely check this out! This has to be the most extensive collection of Votoms garage kits I've seen! Mr. Ken-ichi Nomoto's a modeler for Wave and a Hobby Japan regular.

A good friend, "Espada" practically helped "babysits" me while I did my stint as a challenger for the TV Champion competiton in Japan! For which I'm eternally grateful. :D
Not to mention, I did learned a whole lot of techniques from him as well.

Check out his full-scratch build interpretation of the Quebeley that won a place on the 2nd Ora-Zaku competition. Digital Conception also has an English text.

Mobile Suit Factory and Gouf page, both by Micky. Featuring gazzilion variations of Zaku, Gouf and others, and still growing! Plenty of obscure designs with neat modifications. I guess that is to be expected from someone who's crazy enough to make his car a 'Gouf' car!

CW Louis Law's page featuring some cool vintage toys collection. There's a few (and growing) Gundam and other mecha models as well. Oh yeah, this is the first English Gunpra page here!

Mr.Yoda (not to be confused with certain character from an obscure sci-fi)'s page boasted a huge collection of garage kit and plastic kit alike. A mind bogging numbers of event-only kits from Gundam, FSS and Dunbine. On top of that, he also did aircraft and figures. Don't miss the 1/35 Gundam ver.Katoki and the gigantic (1.70m) Jagd Mirage Twin Towers.

Finally, a 1/144 enthusiast just like me! If you've ever wonder if it's possible to make a great looking model out of the awful Dowadge kit, Baron has just proved that! Oh, his Guyver works look good as well.

Stephen Serra is one Italain Gundam super fan. His fullscratch-built core fighter has made the top 15 of 1999's JAF-CON competition. Text in both Italian and English.

Some interesting kit bash (obviously) ideas on many Gundam kits. Plus an English how-to section.

Gunpra site by Left Hander. Another 1/144 fan. His JAF-CON entry can be seen on page 44 of Hobby Japan 10 '99, The Gussi Gundam (sp?).

Kaz and Viv's Homepage
Homepage of Kazunori Tanka. This physicist turned mangaka's page features his amazing 1/100 Palace Athene scratchbuild which both won bronze medalin HJ's Ora Zaku contest and has been published in Gundam Weapons. Not to be missed.

Another 'purist' site from Italy. Featuring some great 1/144 works. Great modeling skill and photograph. Hail hail, comrade!

Page by Kinji Shibukawa, a modeler of Dengeki Hobby Magazine. In depth articles on both modifying and scratch building. Learn fron the pro!

The site of super collector, Gato. His list of garage kits make me drool in envy. And that's saying a lot! I'm anticipating those making its way into finished works. Now, that would be something to behold.

A BBS regular. Jamihn's site has many in-progress projects, which is shaping up to be very interesting. Where lese can you find a Gene Simons S-Gundam!? ^^;

A jaw-dropping collection of superbly done Gunpla by "Net Modelers". A very strong personal style is pretty much evidenced throughout. Simply awesome. You can bid on his works on Yahoo! Japan, too!

Good figure works from Dirk Stiller. In addition, Dirk's photo setup is quite similar to mine, for those of you who were asking me about can now see a better illustrated example. Hmm, one of these days I'll put my fantasy figure up too.

Certainly one of the early inspiration for the church. The gallery is, of course, filled with my favorite subject of cleverly modified 1/144 Gunpla. And unlike yours truly, it doesn't limited to Gundam either. There's other sci-fi and cars thrown in for good measure.

Detailed building diary (in Japanese, that is) of many good works. Some of old projects from a few years back, when I used to drool over the site, seem to be offline. I hope they come back up soon. An English version seems to be in the work!

Ground Zero
Covering broad range of subject with useful tips section. Nice work on the palm-top Gundam series. Obviously, one Wing kit is one too many. ;)

Many interesting modification projects by "Sir Loin of Beef". The Zeta Plus is excellent.

Another good Italian site, featuring super robots and Gundam (and I have yet to come across a bad one). I like the Zaku FZ, naturally.

Superb gunpla web site from Korea. Very well done UC subjects with good photography. Look into the construction section for some good pictorial tips as well.

New
If you're one of the old schooler who built the original Z Gundam series model, you probably know exactly the origin of Peter Savin's cheeky title. The name aside, this is all serious stuff folks! Peter's body of works consists mostly of 1/100 scale of the classic line-ups. Very creative application of techniques (gold-foiled Shiki, anyone?) that actually come together into very well done collection of works.

Reworks New
Mervin's page of eternally tinkering gunpla. Here's someone who apparently took almost sadistical pleasure into reworking unworkable kit like the 1/144 GP02A ino something decent. ;)

New
I like this a whole lot. "Made in Anaheim" focused on Z Gundam subjects, and took a rather minimalist approach by restraining the urge to go crazy with junk-ish detail with after-market parts like so many works these days suffered. Instead, the corrections/modifications are done where it counts: that is enhancing the "image" of the subjects the modeler had in mind. As much as I'm a non believer, I'd have to say that sometimes less is more. (mind you, I play shred guitar ^^;)

Looking at the Aghama hangar reminds me of some of my favorite Z Gundam works I used to drool over growing up.
