GM Custom

B-Club 1/144 GM Custom (Studio Reckless) resin kit

I've been meaning to get around to this for a long time now. This fixed-pose GM Custom was one of the kit I finished a long time ago. Now that my Zaku F2 and Xeku Eins (speaking of my earlier GK) have gotten a "full action" treatment, it's time I do the same for this one. Since then, there has been another 1/144 GM Custom in full-action released by B-Club, but the fact that this one still has the best sculpt makes the trouble of going through all this not a complete waste.

The laundry list:

1. standard ball jointed fare on both the leg and shoulder. The skirt mouth, while not the most elegant, is quite sufficient for quick fix.
2. Knee joint is hidden inside the void I carefully dug out of the resin with chisel. A couple of springs and maybe thin plastic sheet should be enough to obscure that gray rubber.
3. Upper arm is quite short, so the rod from the elbow double joint is left extending right into the shoulder block (instead of using separate piece, which would result in loose arm -- from the lack of tension).

It's also quite obvious I haven't done a good job on finishing the first time, so I suppose I'll take this chance to redeem myself. :) If all goes according to plan, I'll be painting it together with the near-finish GM Cannon II just so that I don't run into the risk of having a wildly different mix of color.
